1. I am a pensioner, can I get free services?
You may be eligible for services free of charge under the Office of Hearing Services voucher scheme. Please call us for further information.
2. How much is a hearing assessment?
Hearing assessments are free for pension card holders and Veterans Affairs clients (conditions apply). For those not eligible for an Australian pension there is a charge. All other assessments are individually priced. Please contact us for further information.

3. How long does a hearing assessment take?
We allow approximately an hour and a quarter for a full assessment.

4. How much do hearing aids cost?
Certain hearing aids are free to Office of Hearing Services voucher holders (conditions apply). If you decide to ‘ Top-Up’ to technology other than that on the ‘free’ list, you can pay from several hundred dollars to several thousand dollars per aid, depending on the features and processing capabilities of the instruments you choose.

6. Can I use my private health insurance to pay for different technology?
In most instances, yes. Please contact your health insurance provider for a quote prior to your appointment with us. We also have ‘No Gap’ hearing aids with no out of pocket expense when using your private health insurance.

7. I have the television very loud and my family complains about it. Is there anything that will help me besides a hearing aid?
We have television headphones available in our premises for you to try as an alternative to hearing aids. There are also loop systems available which work with a hearing aid fitted with a telecoil. Please contact us for further information.

8. I can’t hear well on the telephone. Will a hearing aid be of any benefit?
There are special telephones available which work in conjunction with certain hearing aids. Alternately, there are telephones available with a volume control and also Bluetooth streamers which connect hearing devices to mobile technology.Please contact us for details.

9. I can’t get out very easily, are you able to visit me at home?
Home visits for pensioners can be arranged upon receipt of doctor’s letter confirming a visit is necessary. If you live in a hostel or nursing home a letter is not necessary.We would prefer our clients to come to us if able, as our premises are sound treated to provide the best possible sound environment for accurate hearing measurements.
11. Are all hearing aids guaranteed?
Most hearing aids have at least a 3 year warranty. Some manufacturers offer the option to purchase extra warranty at the time of the order. Ask for further information at your assessment appointment.
